IGT Mints Four New Millionaires in March

International Game Technology (IGT), a global leader in the provision of gaming content and technology, announced that its Wheel of Fortune and Powerbucks slot games have awarded four life-changing jackpots in March alone.

In total, IGT’s slot games handed jackpots totaling more than $5 million in March, according to the company’s official announcement.

The first seven-figure prize was awarded on March 8. According to IGT, it was claimed by a Wheel of Fortune slots player who was playing the Wheel of Fortune Triple Gold Gold Spin at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi. The lucky player took home $1,254,996.

A few days later, another player won the biggest jackpot awarded by an IGT slot in March. This occurred on March 12 when another Wheel of Fortune fan, this time playing at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in Nevada, hit the $1,635,694 jackpot.

On March 22, a Powerbucks slot player in British Columbia, Canada, also secured a prize of over a million dollars. The fortunate casino player won CAD 1,485,994 playing IGT’s Wheel of Fortune Lucky Coins On Stage game. The Canadian jackpot winner was playing at Chances Casino Kelowna.

Finally, on March 30, IGT handed its fourth life-changing jackpot for the month. This one was claimed by another player in Las Vegas, Nevada, who was playing at the California Hotel & Casino. The gambler won $1,172,262 playing Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Triple Red Hot 7s.

IGT Retains Its Leadership Position

IGT added that its Powerbucks slot games have paid a whopping 56 jackpots of over a million dollars since their debut in Canada in 2016. The Wheel of Fortune slots, on the other hand, have minted more than 1,100 millionaires and awarded over $3.5 billion in jackpots since they were launched in 1996.

Speaking of IGT, the global gaming leader recently enhanced its leadership with a number of new board appointments. As Marco Drago stepped down from his role as a non-executive director, his son, Enrico Drago, joined in as an NED. The company’s PlayDigital division, on the other hand, welcomed Gil Rotem as its new president.

In early March, IGT also published its FY 2023 results, announcing that it has reached its goals for the year. The announcement came ahead of the merger between the company’s Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses with Everi Holdings.
