Catena Media Names Gerrow CFO; Edeen Takes Advisory Function

Catena Media, a performance-based online marketing company serving the iGaming and sports betting sectors, has unveiled another addition to its C-suite. The company, which recently made other major leadership changes, announced that the experienced Michael Gerrow will now serve as group chief financial officer.

In his new position, Gerrow will leverage over 15 years of experience across the online gaming, marketing and health sectors to organize and guide the company’s financial operations. A bachelor in commerce from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, the new appointee boasts just the right skill set to help Catena Media grow.

In addition, Gerrow has professional accounting qualifications from CPA Canada and ACCA UK.

Gerrow originally joined Catena Media’s team in 2020, first serving from its office in Malta. He is currently located in the company’s office in Miami, USA, and is serving as the company’s vice president of finance.

Gerrow will enter his new role on April 15, 2024, and will also join the company’s executive management team. In this position, Gerrow will replace Erik Edeen who is currently serving as interim CFO. Edeen, on the other hand, will continue to support the company in a strategic advisory role.

Catena Media’s interim CEO, Pierre Cadena, commented on the matter, saying that the company is delighted to see Gerrow step into the role of group CFO. The executive praised the appointee’s extensive experience and profound understanding of the group’s financial operations, saying that this made him perfect to lead the company’s financial operations.

Michael’s transition to this role will provide strategic continuity in our executive management team, supporting Catena Media as we continue on the next phase of our journey.

In other news, Catena Media’s Nomination Committee recently proposed the reelection of several directors and the appointment of new ones. After Göran Blomberg, Esther Teixeira-Boucher and Austin Malcomb declined re-election, the committee proposed a six-member board comprised of Øystein Engebretsen, Theodore Bergquist, Adam Krejcik, Sean Hurley, Dan Castillo and Erik Flinck.

The board also proposed the election of Flinck as chairman of the board of directors.
