Max Verstappen Eyeing His 1st Win in China

Max Verstappen has competed in the Chinese GP five times, with his best finishing being the No. 3 place. However, that was back in the early days of his career. Since the last time the Chinese GP was held, he’s turned into a world-class driver who seems unbeatable.

The evidence of this is that the defending Formula 1 champion won three of the four races of the 2024 F1 season. The only race that he didn’t win was the Australian GP, in which he had to exit the race early due to problems with his car.

He’s bounced back after that mishap, winning the Japanese GP. Two weeks later, he’s ready to win the No. 1 position once again, and judging by the F1 betting odds, he’s very likely to pull it off.

Can Someone Ruin Verstappen’s Plans?

Verstappen’s Red Bull Racing teammate Sergio Pérez is seen as the No. 2 favorite to win the race on Sunday. It’s no surprise given that he’s the man who finished second each time Verstappen won this season.

He’s got the same car as Verstappen and their team will do all they can to get both of their drivers on the podium. Plus, if something goes wrong with Verstappen’s car, Red Bull will go all-in on Perez.

When it comes to drivers from other teams, Ferrari’s drivers, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc, definitely look capable of doing well in China.

Then, there’s Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. Even though he’s not among the top Chinese GP favorites in 2024, this guy needs to be taken seriously. After all, he’s the one holding the record for the most wins at the Chinese Grand Prix with six titles.

2024 Chinese Grand Prix Prediction

It would be crazy not to back Max Verstappen to win the race on April 21. Not only is he the best driver in the 2024 Formula 1, but he also has special motivation to win as this is one of just two races on the F1 calendar that he still hasn’t won.
